An Ugly Little Drawing of a Fox
I used to be an artist. For real, I remember.
I was maybe 4 – 4 ½, and I was spectacular.
Once, my mom found me sitting in front of the picture window facing the woods behind our house, drawing. She asked why my trees were all white. To which I was apparently quite confused and pointed at the birch trees at the top of the rise. I’m telling y’all, I had the eye for it.
I was INVINCIBLE!!!
Then, somehow, I got VINCED.
Now I write instead. But I remember loving to draw. So, I’m going to start drawing again, just ugly little drawings. Maybe every day. Probably not. I’m not making y’all any promises. I do it, or I don’t.
I’ll take maybe 30 seconds or even up to 2 minutes, then quit before I realize what’s going on. I’ll use scrap paper and whatever implement I have at hand so it doesn’t count. Then, if I’m feeling all share-y, I’ll take a picture for y’all, but only if it’s ugly enough. If it gets to looking too good, then I’ll hide it. Because that would take all the fun away.
So, you can just assume if you don’t see it, it was Spectacular.
Anyway, here’s one of a fox, because I was thinking about Sabine, a character from the Faerie Market Mysteries. It almost got too pretty for y’all to see. But it’s still ugly enough.
You’re welcome.
