Trying Out Crazy Shit

Over the decades, decades . . . that sounds quite long and impressive, doesn’t it?

Over the decades, I’ve tried out some crazy shit. Some of it works and everyone is surprised. Some of it fails and everyone around me suffers second hand embarrassment.

In between, I try very hard to seek out the absolute right way to do things and then do that. And no one thinks anything because nothing unexpected ever happens.

But then the crazy shit rears its gnarly head again. Like the dragonhead at the prow of a Viking ship.

If the excitement happens with the crazy shit, and straight and narrow just stays the course, then why not try more crazy shit? Especially now that I’m older and worry less about everyone’s opinion of my progress? Why, you ask?

Because my search for the right way is my warm woolen blanket of security. Do not steal my warm woolen security blanket!!!

But, perhaps, I’ve been following a diabolical plan all along, or I tripped over one repeatedly. My crazy ideas usually turn up while pursuing the right way. Either the right way sparked the crazy idea, or its tedium made me restless.

Perhaps I can keep it, and tie my security blanket to the mast of the ship and use it for a sail.

Any way about it, I am fearlessly heading into uncharted territory, again. So, I best pack some snacks.
